Detailed Directions: From 360 and 2222 (Bull Creek). Take 2222 west to 620. Turn left onto 620 and drive approx 5 miles to Mansfield Dam. Turn right IMMEDIATELY after the bridge by the dam onto Commander's Point. Follow the road around to the sign for Mansfield Dam park. Do NOT turn into the park.
Turn right (across from the park) and park your car. We will carpool into the park.

*NOTE: If you are late, drive into the park ($8 to get into the park) and turn left at the stop sign. Follow road around to the lower parking lot. Park and take stairs down to water. We will be swimming in the cove.

Please note: You should be able to park in the parking lot at Barton Springs prior to 8 a.m. without being charged for parking.  Barton Springs starts charging entrance fee at 9 a.m. NO MATTER IF YOU WERE ALREADY IN THE POOL SWIMMING prior to 9 a.m.  We are starting our swim workout promptly at 8 a.m. and will be finished by 9 a.m. so you will not have to pay a fee.

Open to anyone.  Meet at the shallow end of Barton Springs for 8:00 a.m. informal swim workout.  This is NOT a coached workout.  It is merely a chance for athletes to get together and do some open water swimming. 

After the swim we will get dressed and head out for a bike ride starting at 9:15 a.m. from the entrance to Barton Springs Pool.   The bike will be on your own, with other athletes there, but will not be a supported bike ride.  You are fully responsible for bringing your own supplies necessary for the ride.  The ride will be however long you are planning to go that day and wherever you would like to ride.  It's a great opportunity to ride with others and you can make your own decision on routes.

Please note: We typically don't swim if there's been a large rain storm prior to the morning of the swim, if there is thunder/lightning in the immediate area or the temperatures are EXTREMELY below freezing (ex: low 20's).  Make the call for yourself in terms of weather as we will not be posted updates on this workout being cancelled.  It's completely informal and your own personal decision.

Note:

Detailed Directions: From 2222 (Bullick Hollow) and 360, take 2222 west to 620. Turn left on 620 and drive to Comanche Trail (signal). Turn right at signal and drive to the Oasis restaurant. Park in parking lot across the street from the Oasis. We will carpool down to Hippie Hollow.
If you arrive late, drive to Hippie Hollow . Go past the Oasis approx 1.5 miles. Hippie Hollow park ($10 to get into the park) will be on the left side (there is a sign).
From parking lot - near guard shack -  follow path to left, a short distance to set of stairs. Take stairs all the way down to water and turn right. We will be starting from the far right side of Hippie Hollow (as you face the water).
