Adult Fitness Swim Program:

This program is designed to build on the athlete’s endurance and improve their swimming fitness. The workouts will be challenging but fun and will give the swimmers a chance to train in a positive atmosphere.  Workout yardage will range from 1,500 - 4,000 yds in one hour, pending the athlete's level and ability.  Swimmers will receive feedback, stroke correction, and input on their swimming but this track is not as hands on intensive as the Stroke and Efficiency Clinics (see below) or Private Lessons (more info).

NOTE: Swimmers must be proficient in swimming terminology, drills and freestyle to swim in this program.  Knowledge of group lane swimming etiquette, plus clock and pace time usage is required.

Stroke and Efficiency Clinic:

The 2 session (90 min each session) clinic will focus on improving an athlete's comfort level and efficiency in the water. This program will focus on skill development and body position, as well as work on freestyle stroke mechanics through a series of swimming drills and exercises. No background in swimming is necessary but participants should be able to swim a minimum of 25 yards without interruption.

This program is more hands on with the coach and limited in space (8 slots per clinic with 2 people to a lane) which will allow for more feedback, stroke correction and interaction. Lanes will be broken up into speed and ability.

Upon completion, athletes will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the drills and routines associated with an adult swim program(masters). Their form should be established and allow for an increase in their swim yardage. They should feel comfortable and at ease in any swim training environment.
